Process Technician (Oculus)

We are currently seeking process technician to work closely with our research staff to execute defined design of experiments on process equipment within a cleanroom setting.  The position is contract position for 12-36 months with a focus on process technology in the areas of materials science, electrical engineering, or chemistry.  Candidates with experience in etch, deposition, lithography, and wet clean processing are preferred.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the research staff, and other lab staff to execute the design of experiments on process equipment within a cleanroom setting.
  • Operate commercial and custom process equipment with a focus on reactive ion etch, deposition, lithographic processing, and wet processing.
  • Work with lab engineers and research staff to utilize AFM, SEM, interferometry and profilometry to characterize patterning processes
  • Work with lab engineers and research staff to validate process materials using goniometry, FTIR, Variable Angle Spectroscopic Ellipsometry, nanoindentation, interferometry, EDX and the like.
  • Follow all safety protocols.
  • Document the results of the characterization.
  • Support engineers and staff performing tool modification or maintanence.

Minimum Qualification

  • Knowledge of lithographic processes, etch, deposition, and wet processes is desired.
  • Skills in optical metrology tools (such as interferometry or image quality testing) preferred
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills 
Education
  • Associate degree. with 3+ years of experience in a process technician role required.  Bachelor’s degree in the area of material science, chemistry, physics, or engineering preferred.
