(1) Execute aircraft maintenance and repair procedures. (2) Preperation and Integration aircraft wiring looms, avionics components, solar cells and high energy density batteries on an active flight line. (3) Perform pre and post flight inspection tests of the aircraft. (4) Interface with inventory management team when removing parts from inventory. (5) Complete and proper work cards, maintenance logs, and configuration documents for the aircraft. (6) Support ground and flight test activities by preparing the test setup per engineering definition, providing technician and safety oversight during testing, and breaking down equipment post test.
Experience with the following: (1) working as part of a small flexible flightline team (2) 5+ years demonstrable expererience of working on and maintaining aircraft wiring and avionics systems. (3) Demonstrable experience of installing and troubleshooting avionics components (4) executing maintenance and repair procedures on electrical systems. (5) Proven track record of operating and maintaining aircraft electrical systems. Other skills required - (1) ability to read and follow detailed inspection and test procedures. (2) familiarity with standard computer programs including microsoft office, inventory management systems, and aerospace maintenance systems. (3) ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form, think outside the box to create solutions to complex and sometimes not well defined problems. (4) a competent communicator with the ability to liaise with management and engineering teams.
Typically requires education/formal training equivalent to the completion of a two-year technical degree or trade school equivalency. Equivalent professional experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
